RH3 Football Academy
Warkworth AFC have partnered with the RH3 Football Academy. The academy, founded in 2013 by former All Whites and Wellington Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert, has a number of talent centres in the North Island of New Zealand and works in partnership with clubs to provide structured development programmes for boys and girls aged 6+.
"RH3 Football Academy creates an environment where players develop a love of the game of football and continue to participate in the sport throughout their lifetime. To achieve this goal, we must develop an environment where we teach a creative, attacking, and possession-style football built on a foundation of strong technical skills."
“Young players in North Auckland will have more opportunities to develop as footballers following the partnership between Warkworth AFC and the RH3 Football Academy”
The club and the RH3 academy will deliver the Warkworth AFC Development Programme for players aged 6-13. This will include:
-
Monday afternoon sessions across 4 terms a year.
-
School holiday programmes.
Participation in the programme would open opportunities for Warkworth AFC players to attend the RHFA National Camps, at which more than 150 players gather each year. Players will also be able to take part in national and international tours organised by the academy.
