Welcome to Warkworth AFC 2024/25 Summer Football Season

Our summer season will kick off on Tuesday 5th November 2024 and will run for 6 weeks through to Tuesday 10th December 2024, the season will then recommence on Tuesday January 7th 2025 through to Tuesday 11th February 2025, 12 week season in total. 

We will be offering both Senior and Junior Football, and we are very lucky to have one of our NZ Football Qualified coaches Connor and his team running our summer football this year. Details as follows:

Senior Summer Football: Ages 14 years+ 

This will run from 6pm through to 7.45pm, 7-a-side format, matches will be 25 minutes, depending on the number of teams that register there will be 3 game slots per week with each team playing 2 games per week. The game slots will be as follows:

6.10pm to 6.35pm

6.40pm to 7.05pm

7.10pm to 7.35pm

As per previous season's, squad's of 10 players can be entered, 2 females or 2 under 16's to be on the pitch at all times.  

The first 9/10 weeks of the season, fixtures will be on a round robin basis, then for the final 2 or 3 weeks we will create a play-off system.

Junior Football:

This will operate on a casual basis, 4.30pm to 5.30pm, players will be split into three age groups, under 7's, 8-10 year olds and 11-14 year-olds. Depending on the number of players attending each week, the age grades will be split into teams and play either 2, 3 or 4 matches dependent on how many teams are created each week. 

Matches will either be 2 x 25 minutes, 3 x 15 minutes or rotating 5/10 minute matches depending on number of teams.
